Project description

Current deficits in technical, managerial and linguistic knowledge of the employees of the natural oil and petroleum industry are being overcome by a systematic and continuous knowledge transfer to the Turkmen companies and by extra-occupational qualification courses, raising the knowledge and skills to international standards.

The ETWZ provides the institutional and organisational basis to equip participants with the necessary knowledge as cross-section qualification in compact application areas. The ETWZ works in direct cooperation with local educational institutions and companies, thereby securing the exchange between the European consortium members and the Turkmen cooperation partners. As a result, the Turkmen university is enabled to substantially give its students access to international knowledge for their national companies and the academic practice is able to develop towards international standards.

The project aims at the foundation and establishment of the institution for further education, including ongoing assistance. Therefore, models are developed and distributed in the course of the project as the basis for a sustainable outlook.

The project is based on three main fields: development of further education programmes, instructor training, and customised courses and schoolings for target groups.

Systematic evaluation provides appropriate adaptation of knowledge and methods, ensures quality and establishes structures which help to provide for the sustainable existence of the further education centre with the aid of a business and financial plan. During the course of the project, a network of knowledge and experts is created, which provides for the necessary further technical development and stands for the attractiveness of the knowledge taught to Turkmen companies. Established structures along with technically modern qualifications form the basis for the desired market economy opening of the private economy in Turkmenistan.
