LEADER - A European Union Aid Program

LEADER is an aid program from the European Union aiming to help develop rural areas.  LEADER stands for "Liaison entre actions de développement de l´économie rurale", and supports the development of the rural economy.

In the six fields of action of the program LEADER, the “Stiftung Bildung & Handwerk” (Education & Craft Foundation) cooperates with local authorities and regional organizations from the southern Paderborn region. 

In the fields “Economy, Work, & Vocational Education” and “European Cooperation & Networking”, the Stiftung Bildung & Handwerk applies its skills and its experience from decades of qualification programs in vocational training and further education. Qualification programs make it possible to support people in their personal career planning in the sense of lifelong learning and to promote vocational mobility.  The promotion of vocational mobility, in turn, helps reduce bias and racism and strengthen the notion of a unified Europe.
