Is your apprenticeship not going so well?  |
... Don’t hesitate, because support is available! In case of difficulties during vocational training there is a support programme subsidised by the German employment office, called “ausbildungsbegleitenden Hilfen” or “abH” (apprenticeship assistance).
Apprenticeship assistance serves to prevent apprentices in in-firm training programmes from dropping out and to provide them with support on their way to a successful completion of their programmes. In apprenticeship assistance, additional lessons are given individually or in small groups by experienced instructors. Basic knowledge is repeated individually, lessons are revised, and preparation for tests, intermediate exams and final exams is carried out. |
At the same time, teachers take time to answer questions and deal with problems and look for solutions to problematic situations burdening the young person in his/her training programme.
These lessons take place outside of the timeframe of the apprenticeship
