The development of a practice-oriented vocational training program in Vietnam

Within the framework of a pilot project funded by the BMBF, a syndicate of German vocational education providers has been developing and testing a market entry strategy. Its goal is to implement practice-oriented vocational education (“Training Made in Germany”) more strongly in Vietnam.  This is to take place within the setup of Vietnamese-German education centers in close cooperation with Vietnamese vocational schools, national and international companies, and with the necessary support of political policymakersLaufzeit:

March 1, 2009 - February 28, 2012

The project will show how “Training - Made in Germany” can be established in foreign vocational education markets in appropriately-sized countries in a relatively short period of time.  This is carried out by a focused effort that is demand-oriented, sustainable, and has a widespread impact.

Through the marketing and image building of the concept “Training – Made in Germany”, the practice-oriented content and methods rather than dual structures are to be emphasized in vocational qualification programs.  The German education providers founded the consortium GENEV (German Education Network for Employability Vietnam) for this purpose.

The GENEV network currently consists of 6 partners.

The members of the consortium offer numerous other educational programs. The combined effort of a consortium of educational institutions enables, unlike the usual individual cooperation with foreign partners, the promotion of a wide range of educational opportunities. Beyond that, the fundamental nationwide implementation of structures of practice-oriented “Training Made in Germany” is possible.
